If Illegal Immigrants Want the Same Rights As All American Citizens

“Opponents say the law will lead to racial profiling and trample on the rights of the hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants in Arizona. Supporters say the law is a necessary response to combat the litany of problems brought on by illegal immigration and the federal government's inability to secure the border.” By JACQUES BILLEAUD and PAUL DAVENPORT

As for as I am concerned illegal immigrants are not citizens of the United States and do not have any constitutional rights. They should be treated as human beings and respectably sent back to their country of origin. There they can legally proceed to becoming a US citizen.

My thought on this matter is, if illegal Immigrants want the same rights as all American citizens they must apply for the right to work and citizenship. Once they have achieved the right to work in this country they will have to learn the laws and customs. These legal immigrants will then be required to work and pay taxes just like the rest of us Americans. They will be required to learn English and be able to speak, read, and write it. Then and only then will they achieve the other rights that are earned with becoming a citizen. They should have a driver’s license or a state identification card, with his or her immigration status on it. If an Immigrant is stopped, for any reason other than race, and does not have the correct papers on him then he is an illegal immigrant and should be deported.
